The Process

Getting to know you

It all starts with a free consultation, we can talk on the phone, or by email. Then a meeting in person where we will begin with an interview
and detailed skin and colour analysis to determine your specific needs and personal preferences. Then we will conduct a full edit of your makeup and skincare arsenal, weeding out any old or unnecessary items (don’t worry, I’ll be gentle). I will show you how to properly utilise
the products you already own and help you organise them appropriately. Next, we will make a game plan for our first shop together and
compile a list of new products to shop for.

Lets go shopping!

During the initial assisted shop, which is both educational and FUN, you will learn how to shop based on what works best for your specific
skin type, tone, and colouring. I will direct you toward products that are best suited for you, taking the guesswork and anxiety out of the process.

Pulling it all together

Following the shopping trip, we review all the new items and samples, and I will give you tutorials on how & when to use each of them to suit you perfectly. I’ll help you design and master your daily makeup application based on your old favourites and your new additions, so that every day you feel confident and composed. You will also receive seasonal newsletters about the latest trends and product launches.

One Call Away

Once you have booked a service with The Makeup Room, I am “on call” for you to ask any questions about your purchases, as your personal makeup artist or skincare specialist. When you need makeup for special events, weddings, holidays, or parties, I’ll come directly to you and provide makeup application for that flawless look.

Follow up

After I have done an initial shop with a client, all subsequent shops can be done without the client present if so desired. Follow up shops can
be booked on a seasonal basis or whenever new products or updates are needed!
